Oat
Oat is a cereal. The Latin name for oat is Avena sativa. It is an annual plant from the grass family (Poaceae). Bunchoat is an old variety with a compact inflorescence. Oat is grown since 7000 BC. Originally Oats come from South-East Europe and South-West Asia and arose from the wild oats (Avena sterilis). Of course we grow oat as a dried flower.
